Construction begins on new B2BGateway World Headquarters in Rhode Island, USA.

Phase 1 construction has just begun on a new 40,000+ sq.ft. purpose built office campus for B2BGateway, a leading global EDI and automated supply chain software solution provider. The offices will be built on a 9 acre site adjacent to Exit 2 of interstate I-95 and only a few miles north of the Connecticut Border.

 

 

 

According to Kevin Hoyle, CEO of B2BGateway, “The site was chosen for its proximity to both New York and Boston. The facility will  allow us to amalgamate all the offices we currently lease in Rhode Island into one. This will greatly benefit both the organization and employees alike as we move forward and continue to grow at a rapid pace”.  He added “Having the additional acreage ensures space for future buildings and will add some fun with the soccer fields and volleyball courts for the staff.”  B2BGateway is aiming to take occupancy of their new offices in late Fall 2015.

 

St.Pat's 5k Providence, Rhode Island

B2BGateway to sponsor 2012 St. Pat's 5k Fun Run.

B2BGateway, a world leader in cloud-based fully integrated EDI solutions, will be sponsoring the 2012 St. Pat’s 5k fun run which takes place in Providence, Rhode Island on Saturday March 10, 2012.

The St. Pat’s 5k fun run is an annual event and this year’s run is number two of a trilogy of races that will take place in the Rhode Island-Massachusetts area collectively known as the Tour De Patrick. The St. Pat’s 5k will start from the Rhode Island State House on Smith St. (route 44), Providence, RI and will be followed by the annual St. Patrick Day Parade which starts at 12 noon.

According to B2BGateway’s CEO, Kevin Hoyle, “B2BGateway is delighted to be associated with this year’s St. Pat’s 5k fun run. Having offices in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island it’s great to sponsor a local event. The run is a great way to keep fit and is also great fun for all who participate. We are also delighted that a portion of all monies collected goes to such worthy and charitable organizations such as the Brown Kenya Program, Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation and the Rhode Island Food Bank”.

Rhode Island Office

I have been with B2BGateway.Net www.b2bgateway.net for a little over 3 ½ years now. I started working in our European Office in Dublin, Ireland. Our EU office has since moved to Galway, Ireland and I have since moved back to Rhode Island. Our Rhode Island office is located in Wyoming, which is a small town in Southern Rhode Island. The town does have other places of business; a grocery store, three pharmacies, a few gas stations, hair salon and two gyms. But I think it is pretty safe to say we are the only Business to Business company in the area. Whenever I am out at lunch and someone happens to ask where I work, I let them know about our office “right down the street”. Most people are extremely interested to hear about what we do. When I first say we are software as a service company specializing in EDI, I lose them. But then I explain to them a real life scenario of B2BGateway.Net being part of the process of getting certain items into the local Stop & Shop or CVS, they are back and interested again. At B2BGateway.Net, we are helping making every day easier for someone somewhere. Like making sure CVS gets the ASN on time for a shipment arriving the next day at CVS Wyoming. I take great pride in knowing we helped make the process a little smoother and I also think the people of Wyoming, RI can take some pride in knowing this is all happening in their little town.
